Common ant
Lasius niger
Description
Ants are social insects that live in large colonies. Species commonly found in buildings, such as the black garden ant (Lasius niger), measure a few millimetres and form long trails in search of food, especially sugary and protein-rich substances.
They nest in soil, beneath paving, in wall cracks and cavities, including inside buildings. Their presence in kitchens and pantries is a common nuisance, particularly in warmer months.

-
Site inspection Locating trails, entry points and the nest.
-
Specific baits Baits that workers carry into the nest to target the entire colony.
